Pool mining
Lower variance, steadier results
In a pool, miners combine work and share rewards based on valid contribution. This produces smaller but more regular results and is usually the easier option for miners who want smoother income and simpler monitoring.
Solo mining
Higher variance, full block reward
In solo mode, only the miner who finds the block receives the reward. That means the upside per win is larger, but the time between successful rewards can be much longer and far less predictable.
Decision point
Which one fits your setup
Pool mining generally fits small and mid-sized GPU operators better because it reduces payout variance. Solo mining becomes more attractive when a miner understands the risk, accepts longer dry periods, and prefers chasing full block rewards instead of smoother pooled results.
Before switching modes, check the active pool page to confirm whether solo is currently supported and whether the login format differs from the standard pool format.
